What to expect during your first visit to FlowForce Rehab?
If you have any imaging reports, please make sure you bring them with you (X-ray/MRI/CT).
It is best to wear clothing and shoes that are appropriate for exercise. Wear loose-fitting clothing so you can expose the area that we will be evaluating and treating. For example, if you have a knee problem, it is best to wear shorts. For a shoulder problem, a tank top is a good choice, and for low back problems, wear a loose fitting shirt and pants, again so we can perform a thorough examination.
Treatment sessions typically last 30 minutes for the initial exam and treatment, and 15 to 30 minutes for follow-up visits depending on your specific needs.
The number of sessions that you will need varies. You may need a small number of visits or you may need a longer period of care depending on multiple factors. You will be evaluated during your first consultation and Dr. Ben will give you a plan to completely resolve the underlying cause behind your condition. You will then be re-evaluated on a regular basis to ensure you are on track to getting back to a healthy and happy life!
Arrive for your first session 15 minutes early to fill out the New Patient form if you haven’t already. Late arrival may affect not only your 1-on-1 time with the doctor but that of other patients in the clinic. Actively participate in the discussion with Dr. Ben to determine your goals and ambitions.
If an emergency prevents you from attending, try to provide adequate notice. It is important to review the cancellation policy prior to the start of treatment. You will get out of treatment what you put into it. Sufficient effort, as agreed between you and the doctor, is necessary to get maximum benefit from each treatment session.
We accept all major insurance plans. Please reach out to us and we will be happy to verify your insurance coverage for you. You can also pay using your FSA/HSA card, cash, check, or credit/debit card.
Following the assessment, Dr. Ben will tell you what the cause of your pain is and how to get you back to a healthy and happy life, free of your pain. A plan is prepared, with you, including how many times you should see Dr. Ben, and how many weeks you are likely to need treatment to completely resolve your problem. You will work with Dr. Ben to develop a program which includes self-care, rehab exercises, any necessary training modifications, education, short-term/long-term goals, and what is expected after discharge from care.
